December 7, 2009 Analysis- The Insider 1.Assess the relationship between Pacino(Bergman) and Crowe (Wigand) At the origin of the movie Wigands and Bergmans relationship was completely professional. Bergman approached Wigand barely because he needed help in translating the anonymous documents that he had received from Philip Morris. Meaning, that Bergman had a motive for sine qua noning to build a relationship with Wigand. Bergman found out that Wigand knew a lot of discipline that could very helpful and that could be controversial. As Bergman learned of every information that Wigand knew and the impact it could if it was released he was very interested in convincing Wigand to do an interview for the CBS 60 minute show. So once again Bergman interest in getting smashed to Wigand was strictly for business. Bergman drink downed to build a relationship since he it was prerequisite in order to get Wigands trust and necessitate to do the interview. As the movie evolves Wigand starts believing in Bergman since he has done everything he can and has been very persistent in order to get Wigand to trust him. We visualise how both start caring a lot for each other and stopping point up getting super involved in the relationship.

The situation the Bergman is so supportive, caring, and approachable and listens to Wigand most important when Wigand is very lonely made that at the decision a relationship was formed. We see that Bergman ended of really caring about Wigand and tried until the end to do all he could to help me and protect him. He didnt leave him alone nor gave up even though everyone was opposing him.
