The Roaring 20s was a time of capacious change for America. These changes would transform America into what it is today. It was a period of social, political, and economic change. These changes were The Red Scare, womens right to vote, the great migration, immigration restrictions, nativism, line of achievement riots and the reemergence of the KKK. Other changes were the Harlem Renaissance, the stock grocery speculation and the stock market crash of 1929. The red scare took place between 1919 and 1920. It was a general fear of communists, socialists, anarchists, and other dissidents. The deal of America were horrified that a communist revolution in America energy happen like it did in Russia. A series of anarchist bombings further fed this nationwide fear. Innocent people were jailed for giving their opinion, civil liberties were ignored. In the early 1920s, the fear disappeared as quickly as it started. The Red Scare came to an end when 12 popular attorneys issued a report showing all the injustice that was going on. The people started to realize how ridiculous it was, and by the summer of 1920 it was over. Womans right to vote was a colossal milestone for America. It would forever change the social and political lives of people in America, especially women.
