Jean William Fritz Piaget, oldest son of Arther Piaget and Rebecca Jackson, was born haughty 9th, 1886 in Neuchatel, Switzerland. He was known as a chela prodigy and became interested in the study of nature at an early age. He launched the beginning of his scientific career at only eleven years old, after writing a short paper on an albino sparrow sighting.
Piaget attended the university of Neuchatel and accredited his doctorate in zoology. He then spent a semester at the university of Zurich. He traveled to France to study abnormal psychology and logic. He did his first experimental work and studied the issue of the mind while spending a year at a boys institute created by Alfred Binet and De Simon. He later went thorn to Switzerland to observe children in their natural environment. He then met and marry his wife and had three children of his own.
Piaget became director of the International Bureau of raising in 1929 and remained in that position until 1967. In 1934, he tell that only education is capable of saving our societies from possible collapse, whether violent, or gradual.
Piaget later created the International Center for Genetic Epistemology, in Geneva, in 1955 and directed it until 1980. He placed great importance on the education of children.
