Night is an autobiographical novel written by Elie Wiesel about promulgates of his experiences in a concentration camp during the Holocaust. He was raised tradition on the wholey and much enjoyed both religious and non-religious studies. non only his faith towards God is tested when he and his sinless family is sent to a concentration camp after wretched into the ghetto but also his belief in humanity as he goes through seemingly endless struggles.

This is the point in the story where another prisoner go up to a cauldron full of soup during an var. raid and is shot while the other prisoners are watching. This name I find particularly upsetting, mostly because of the part where all the other prisoners are day dreaming themselves to be crawling on the ground with him even though it might destine losing their lives which is exactly what happens to the man crawling on the ground but also when you think of the amount of hunger and exhaustion they mustiness have been under.





The doctor came to tell me that he would operate the coterminous day.
Dont be afraid, he said, everything will be alright. At ten oclock in the morning, I was taken to the operating room. (p. 79)
As you can tell Elie is in the hospital part of the camp because of the operation that he had done to his foot. This surprised me a lot seeing as I did not think that the camps provided any kind of checkup care for the prisoners. Of course it accepts sense that they would want to keep their workers for as long as they can, but on the other hand, why waste resources on Jews and Gypsies?
