Abstract:
The exhibit paper examined the relationship of population to the environment and with growing population, meagerness and urbanization the environment is degrading. In all spheres of animation whether for autocratic population harvest-festival, spread of literacy or improving quality of life for vast masses, media have crucial role to play. Media create awareness about the ill-effects of population explosion so as to take aim changes in the mindset of the society. In todays world, scar and electronic media play a vital role in effectively conveying message that needs to be conveyed.
Conducted an summary of changes and trends over last fifty years. The study reveals that the countrys population growth is imposing an increasing burden on the countrys limited and continually degrading natural resource base. The natural resources are on a lower floor increasing strain, even though the majority of people digest at subsistence level. Population pressure on arable rural area contributes to the land degradation.
The increasing population numbers and growing prolificacy have already resulted in rapid growth of postcode production and consumption in India. The environmental effects exchangeable ground water and surface water contamination; straining pollution and global warming are of growing head ache owing to increasing consumption levels. The paper concludes with some policy reflections, the policy aimed at overall development should certainly accept efforts to control population and environmental pollution.
