One experiment was that they placed monkeys in total isolation right from birth. Some were obscure for 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months. There environment was entirely controlled, food, air, and light. They never had any strong touch, not even from a human. After the isolation, the monkeys were placed in a cage together with non controlled monkeys. At first they were completely afraid.



After some time had elapsed, respectively longer if they were isolated longer, they would meld into the social structure. But as they grew older, they were more probably to be very aggressive, even to the point of suicidal attacks, or violent rages.
These types of experiments went on for nearly 35 years, forming tests that can be demonstrated, that isolated monkeys just need more time to be able to adapt to a socially acceptable member. In conclusion, these tests are absolutely horrible, and could have been deduced without harming all the monkeys.
