Abraham Baldwin (Georgia)
Without the deciding vote of Abraham Baldwin the constitution would in all probability would never have been written. He broke the tie in the vote for the debate of congressional tallyity in the senate. Abraham Baldwin was an educational activist that pressed for a much better educational system in Georgia. During his time in the radical regulation he pressed for the equality in the representation in the senate. Also, he supported sla genuinely when the topic arose. Abraham Baldwin was a very intelligent man that believed that a good education is inbred in America and that every sound out should have still two senators.
Abraham Baldwin worried himself less with the problems of the federal government, and mainly focused his efforts on convincing that good education is important to a functioning democracy. Before he was a part of the Constitutional Convention he was educated at Yale where he analyse theology for several years. and became a statesman in Georgia. In the legislature he created the basis of Georgias educational system, which helped Georgians become educated citizens. Also, his plans helped grant the plans and fund the Franklin College (University of Georgia) (Abraham Baldwin).
Abraham Baldwin had conflicting views of how states should be represented in government. At first he thought process that the number of representatives you have in the Senate should be determined by the amount of property the state owns. However, later when his home state of Connecticut threatened to leave the Convention, he changed his opinion (Abraham Baldwin). He then believed that all states should have an equal say in government. To conclude the matter of senate representation he was put on the Committee of Eleven, which was the group that created the Great Compromise.
