The Life Story of Henrietta Muir Edwards
Good morning, Id same to introduce myself. I am Henrietta Muir Edwards. For those of you who dont get along me Id like to give you a micro background about myself. I am a Canadian women who may be the least well known of the famed 5. Im the eldest of the Famous Five, I am a legal expert and women lots came to me for help with legal issues affecting women and children. Ive worked closely with womens missionary societies for over four decades. (2)For example, I advocate public libraries, mothers allowances, equal parental rights, equal movement for divorce, and penal reform.
(3)I began my fight for womens rights at my hometown in Montreal with my sister. This is a portrait of myself when I was young. (4)I founded the works Girls Association (the precursor to the YWCA), which offered meals, interpretation rooms and study classes. It is a safe haven where girls ordure receive training, shelter, and food, while seeking employment. The Working Girls Association provides education for up to sixty women at a time, and helps fill a need for single women who come to the city in anticipate of employment.

(5)I then co-founded the National Council of Women of Canada and the Victorian Order of Nurses. These are the flowing pictures of NCWC and VON. (6)I published the first magazine in Canada for working women which is called the Working Women of Canada. This is another portrait of myself.
